TORONTO, ONTARIO — July 24, 2026 — Art Experts Canada Inc. announced today that it has removed more than 50 fake paintings attributed to Norval Morrisseau from the market so far in 2026, through direct purchase and through the company’s fakes acquisition program.
The works will be preserved and used for research, study, and educational purposes. Each painting will also be permanently marked as fake using a technique developed by Art Experts Canada Inc., helping to ensure that these works cannot be misrepresented or reintroduced into the market as authentic Morrisseau paintings.
